Thanks- mostly it's a reminder to myself that despite the fury - I need to make sure I am supportive of the people I love, like you, and not just pollute them with my rage.

I’m with your mom, “we were lucky to have it as long as we did.”, but so sad my granddaughter will not experience that special place. I pray she will discover her own magical place.

I so appreciate your writing. I also have fond memories of a 4 generation family home except we were on the ocean. You writing takes me right back to the rocks and seaweed treasure hunts. Thank you

Bobby, this was absolutely beautiful and especially knowing your mom like I did. I'm sure she was thrilled to have you with her during that wonderful last time at her land and the lake. And thank you, thank you! Thank you for your donation to the land trust

I love your writing but today's piece was especially perfect as we lost our 95 year old mom to old age this week. How lucky we were to have her for so long.

Thank you, Bobbie. I will follow your example and seek a place of serenity where I, too, will try to let go of my rage.

Eloquent recollections of your mom and her reverence for the family nature surroundings.

And her grace in passing on her quiet respect to her children . 🙏
