Who knew a writer could combine lambs and mushrooms in one column and have it all make sense! 1000 logs....that's just amazing. Love this story (and awesome photo).

As always, I appreciate your humor. Reading that mushrooms “never escape, never misbehave and never get sick,” along with having “virtually no predators” led me to think that one of your new ewes should be named in their honor. That led me on a search for all mushroom names that begin with the letter Y. I was stunned to learn that there are none. This begs the question, of course, “Why not?” Therefore, I submit the suggestion that one of this year’s most docile new lambs be named “Ynot.” If this doesn’t suit, we all can take comfort in the knowledge that there are mushrooms whose names begin with the letter Z. Good to know there is hope for next year. We all need that! :)

I like Ynot! I was originally planning on naming all the lambs Y? - but Ynot is much more hopeful!

Also Yanni for a boy lamb. Or Yippy, like cowboys would say
